Questions
What should I know before I start?
The essentials are simple: Mapcorum uses an export of your Google Maps saved places, creates a private travel site, and gives you a private access link.
Before you begin
Does Mapcorum replace Google Maps?
No. Google Maps remains the source for saved places and a primary destination for current place information and navigation.
Do I need a Google Account?
Yes. The upload workflow uses a private Google Drive folder shared with the Google Account you provide.
Will Mapcorum change my Google Maps data?
No. Your export is read to build your Mapcorum. Your Google Maps lists remain the source.
Is my Mapcorum public?
No. Your personal site is accessed through a private link. Treat that link like a password.
Can I use it offline?
Mapcorum is designed as an installable offline-first web app. Native maps navigation may require downloaded offline maps or connectivity.
After you start
How do I refresh my places?
Create a current Google Takeout export and place it in your private upload folder. Mapcorum can rebuild from the updated source.
What is a Travel Pass?
A Travel Pass enables active-travel capabilities such as Set Origin, direction filtering, Smart Navigation, One View, and Collection editing.
What if I lose my private link?
Use account recovery with the Google Account associated with your Mapcorum.
Can I change my Google Account email?
The account workflow supports a controlled change while preserving the permanent Mapcorum identity.
Where do I get personal help?
Use the Support page for account or technical help, or Contact for product and partnership questions.
